No matter your
political affiliation, it is your duty to support our troops! Men
and women from the greatest nation on Earth of all walks of life
have joined the greatest military in the world to defend your
freedom. It does not matter if you are a pot smoking, tree hugging,
stick worshipping, card carrying member of PITA and the DNC or a
hard working patriotic American that knows exactly why they are
free, it is your duty to support the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and
Marines that defend our way of life. Now don't get me wrong! I think
that every free loading anti-American scum bag that is a citizen of
this great nation has the right to do as they please. That is what
freedom is all about: having the right to be a free loading
anti-American scum bag! I may not like you but I chose my profession
and I will defend your right to choose.
There are many
fine organizations out there that support deployed soldiers and
their family members. I ask that you help out when you can. Though
you may think your contribution is insignificant, it counts. Even
just a simple thank you in passing a soldier in uniform at the
airport is a great contribution. Knowing people care means a great
deal!
If you would
like to help out but do not know how, please send me an email and I
can point you in the right direction. As the time comes for my unit
to deploy, I will try to organize and rally support for my soldiers
via this page. Soldiers like anything free! Trust me! Free stuff
rules! They can use foot powder and baby wipes but they like things
that make them feel at home! They like magazines with cars, guns and
hot women with guns in cars. They like DVDs, comic books, chips,
letters from girls with guns in hot cars that include a picture with
every letter! They also like junk food of any type, comfortable
socks, smokes, chew, shaving kits and dental floss. Hand lotion,
shower kits with the little froo-froo scrubber thing, letters from a
child that want to write someone they think is a hero or a mom that
wants to help out. They like home made cookies, deer jerky, a good
book and a picture of all of your friends toasting them with the
beer they want so badly after a long day! Knives, new gear and a
Beta CMag always make great gifts.
Do soldiers
really need all this stuff? Well, they need food, water, clothing,
shelter and air to get by. None of us need any of the stuff I have
listed. Many of those items they can buy at the PX when they have
it. Some things are sent to them now and then by their family. But
there is nothing like seeing the excitement on a soldier's face when
he opens a box and see what is inside. It does not matter if it is a
young private that has never been away from his parents for more
than a few months or a crusty old major that even his wife hates,
the feeling that someone cares is priceless!
Here are some
things to remember: do not send anything that violates USPS rules
that will get you or the soldier in trouble! Next, you are not
supposed to send
pornographic material so you should not do this. "Any Soldier" mail
is prohibited. Many organizations our there allow you to sign up to
donate items. They will assign you a soldier to donate to. Sign up
and if you can't donate something, just be their
friend!
Special thanks
to the folks at National Dragster Magazine, ADV Video, Sabian and
the huge list of others that sent stuff last time! I truly
appreciate it and hope I can count on you all
again!
If you would like to contribute
to soldiers currently deployed, please email me and I will
link you up with some friends currently down range. I thank
you for your support!
